A simple yet effective structure will bring experienced people in their respective fields to assist the program and the driver involved.

The program has been established by Richard Craill, a 13-year veteran of the Motorsport media industry, motor racing commentator and longstanding member of the South Australian racing community.

Richard will lead the program, with his business Race Torque Media providing media management, marketing and additional support to the program.

Double Australian Drivers Champion, Queensland 500 Supercars winner and former Bathurst lap record holder Simon Wills will be the head driver coach and mentor for our drivers, as well as a key involvement operationally.

An advisory panel of key motor racing industry experts will be established to help guide both the racing program and the young drivers involved, as well as offering ‘big picture advice’ to the program operations and potential for expansion.

The members of the advisory panel will be named following the program launch.

Current South Australian drivers racing professionally will be included in the program and asked to offer their insight and skills as mentors to the new talent coming through the system.

A new team, formed specifically for the purpose of running the ExcelR8 SA program, willmanage the competition aspects of the Team SA Squad.
